Shiga Kogen

Introduction

Shiga Kogen is considered a large ski resort as it is made up of smaller resorts interconnected to each other totaling around 89 courses. Although a lot of reviews talk about how large Shiga Kogen is, it actually felt more like a small to medium size resort as the areas are not truly interconnected. Some require a bus to access.

Accommodations

There are numerous accommodations surrounding the different Shiga Kogen ski areas which are mostly ski in/ski out since it is spread out amongst the different ski areas. I have only been here once and stayed at the Hotel Kodama.

Hotel Kodama is a nice average hotel with decent sized rooms with an onsen.
