Born and raised in Hawaii, I tried snowboarding for the first time in California at Big Bear Mountain in 2008 and was instantly hooked.  Living in Hawaii, I was only able to do one snowboarding trip a year and that was not enough.  Fortunately in 2012 I was able to move to Japan and snowboard 6-7 times in a year.  That is when I experienced the amazing Japanese Powder Snow (aka JAPOW) and wanted to share my experience with the world.  Japan is truly an amazing country.
