As forecasted woke up this morning to snow here in the Kanto Plain.  Check out POWcountry facebook for some photos.

Furano has opened as planned with the top lift running.  It's also forecast to snow down in Tokyo this coming Thursday which is extremely rare.  Could this be a sign?

Looks like Furano is on track to open tomorrow 1 week ahead of their originally planned date.  Wish I was there.  1 more month before we start to see resorts opening around the Kanto plain.

All eyes are on Kiroro as we plan to go there in Jan.  Kiroro already has 30+ cm of snow so things are looking good so far.
